Coin Market Cap
What is a Coin Market Cap?
Coin Market Cap is a website that deals primarily with the stock market data of various cryptocurrencies.
In addition to the market capitalization, the coin price, the trading volume of the last 24 hours, the available amount of coins in a currency, and the market development can also be displayed here.
The features of Coin Market Cap
Coin Market Cap currently depicts more than 1300 of the larger cryptocurrencies. These can be sorted into a list by various factors, such as market capitalization, the unit price of a single coin, trading volume in the last 24 hours, or available amount of coins.
In addition, the stock market value of the entire crypto market and the trading volume of all cryptocurrencies are always displayed at the top of the screen. Furthermore, there is always a percentage that indicates what percentage of this market performance is made by Bitcoin – the oldest and currently the strongest cryptocurrency.
Furthermore, one can take a closer look at the data of a desired cryptocurrency on the website. A table shows the daily trading volume of each cryptocurrency listed there since their respective market launch.
A graph shows a trajectory on which you can optionally display the coin value, the market capitalization, and the value compared to Bitcoin.
What does market capitalization mean?
Coin Market Cap is also the term for market capitalization. Market capitalization is a term used in business administration. It describes the product of total available action and the unit price of a single stock.
If a company has 100 available shares on the market and each share costs 10 euros, the company has a market capitalization of 100 x 10 euros, i.e. 1000 euros. A synonym of market capitalization is “stock market value”.
In cryptocurrencies, the action is often the available number of coins or tokens. The market capitalization, therefore, is the number of available coins times the value of a single Coin.
